A water leak soaked $65,000 of the Hixson High Schools Band Equipment in July.
"Pretty much all goods that were in that storage room," said Hixson High School Band Booster President Rebecca Marshall.
Mold damaged items included their uniforms, audio equipment, and color guard flags.
It takes weeks to order and receive new uniforms, but there is no timeline for when insurance money will be given.
"They went without their marching uniforms. So, anytime a band competes, whether it's a show or a game, we do concerts, to not be in full uniform really impacts those kids," said Marshall.
Five-hundred dollars was raised from the Thursday I <3 Mac & Cheese fundraiser according to Marshall. Anyone who would like to donate by sending a check to the Hixson High School Band Booster PO Box 782, Hixson, TN 37343.Â
