Earlier today, an inmate at Erlanger - Sequatchie facility grabbed a correction officer’s firearm, and a struggle ensued.Â
The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office officials said during the struggle, the firearm discharged.Â
They said an off-duty deputy from a neighboring county helped the correction officer secure the inmate.Â
Some involved in the incident received minor injuries.Â
