Lane closings planned on I-65

The Alabama Department of Transportation has ramp closings on I-65 northbound planned for Jefferson County. 

Alabama Guardrail Inc. plans to conduct guardrail repairs on I-65 northbound from Exit 261C to 20WB/59SB towards Tuscaloosa on Monday, Feb. 5, at 10:00 pm. 

The right outside lane of the ramp will be closed to traffic and is expected to reopen at 5:00 am on Feb. 6. 

Officials are advising motorists to use alternate routes, plan for additional driving time, be aware of work zone speeds, and use caution when traveling in the area.
