Meteorologist Cedric Haynes joined the Local 3 Weather Storm Alert Team in October of 2021. Cedric came to Local 3 News from WYFF News 4 in Greenville, South Carolina where he was the weekend evening meteorologist. Now he is the Noon and 4PM meteorologist in his home area. Cedric has experienced it all when it comes to bad weather, from extreme flooding, blizzards, to big ice storms and droughts.
Cedric is a graduate of Dalton High School and is glad to be back home. He attended the University of Cincinnati, Ohio where he earned an Electronic Media degree. He studied meteorology through Mississippi State University where he earned his broadcast meteorology certification.
Cedric enjoys spending time with his family, and being active in his church. He is also a big sports fan. Some of his favorite teams include, the Cincinnati Bearcats, Cincinnati Bengals, and University of Tennessee Football. When he is not watching the latest football or basketball game, you can also find him trying to binge watch the latest Netflix show.
